“People come into our lives for a reason, bringing something we must learn, and we are led to those who help us most to grow, if we let them.”
—Stephen Schwartz, Wicked
We all have a story—a narrative we tell ourselves and others. It defines who we are and how we live. It’s the story you might tell a friend or colleague about yourself—it’s what we show the world; some of it is what we allow ourselves to see. These stories aren’t always comfortable. They are the temples of our past, etched into our unconscious, directing our relationships and choices—often without our consent.
To simply say, “I’ll tell myself a new story,” overlooks the depth of this inner architecture.
It is far from simple.
The narratives that shape our identity and relationships are not fixed—they can evolve if we are willing to confront them. In 2002, Byron Katie introduced the idea that, with effort, we can change the stories we tell ourselves. This inspired me.
Creating a narrative that heals rather than harms requires more than intention. It demands a reckoning with the layers of experience that lie beneath the surface. The unconscious must be made conscious, and the unexamined examined.
Therapy offers liberation. It helps dismantle unwanted scripts—scripts that feel like chains tethering us to an unwanted past—and creates space for a narrative rooted in agency, authenticity, and connection.
Working through pain— whether current challenges or lifelong wounds—is daunting enough. You want to be in the hands of someone seasoned, deeply educated, and passionate who can guide you to real results without years of fruitless circling.
That’s where I come in.
With an intentionally crafted skillset, four decades of working in full-time practice, and an insatiable drive for learning—knowledge, and experience—I bring both depth and breadth to the therapy room. Like you, I am here to evolve—on my own tikkun, or life lesson—figuring it out as I go—just like everyone else.
Therapy is not just a process; it is a transformative experience. My role is to walk with you through your challenges, uncover your inner strength, and help you create a life that feels more intentional, unencumbered, and alive.

I began as a patient 50 years ago. Applied mathematics and biology fascinated me, but they confined me to the left side of the brain. Healing occurs on the right. Hence, the move from pre-med to psychology.
Becoming a parent in 1995 deepened this shift. It was then that my work expanded into sexology—driven not only by professional training but by a profound personal desire to understand the human experience, connection, and attachment.
Since 1988, I’ve been at the forefront of psychotherapy in South Florida, working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. My practice has always been defined by integration, with both breadth and depth. Each advanced certification represents another lens through which to understand human suffering and repair. I bring together the classical fundamentals along with clinical sexology, trauma recovery, EMDR, addiction work, hypnosis, group dynamics, and couples therapy in a unique holistic approach.
I am the only psychologist in South Florida who is certified in Clinical Sexology (Diplomate), Sex-Addiction Therapy (CSAT), Multiple-Addiction Therapy (CMAT), EMDR, Hypnosis, Group Therapy (CGP), Discernment Counseling, and Telehealth. I am a Fellow and Clinical Supervisor of the American Board of Sexology with postgraduate training in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples and Individuals, Parenting Coordination, Divorce Mediation, and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. Boca Raton has been my home since 1990. I am also licensed in both Florida and New York and hold PSYPACT approval, enabling me to see clients in over 40 states across the U.S.
Beyond the therapy room, I’ve served as Chapter President, Insurance Chair, and Hospital Practice Chair for the Florida Psychological Association (FPA), speaking at local and state levels on managed mental healthcare. I have lectured at hospitals, schools, and community groups, and served as an adjunct college professor. I was instrumental in the inauguration of Eating Disorders Awareness Week (EDAW) and the Palm Beach County mandatory course for divorcing parents. From 2020 to 2024, i served as marketing chair for the Florida Group Psychotherapy Society. Between 2019 and 2025, I co-hosted more than 13 trainings in couples therapy, reaching over 2000 therapists worldwide.
In recent years, my writing has appeared on national blogs and websites (Marriage.com, SexandRelationshipHealing.com Psych Central and The Good Men Project), and I was featured as a local expert in the Boca Raton Observer, Boca Raton Magazine, and other national and online publications. As a media consultant, I’ve been sought out for my expertise in sex, relationships, and mental health.
My mission remains constant: to help people improve their “emotional, sexual, and spiritual health”. Increase their capacity to engage in effective interpersonal relationships and procure the tools necessary to live their best life.
I treat people, not problems. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process. You are not a diagnosis, and you are not your trauma. You are a complex, layered individual with a story that deserves to be heard and understood.
Some ingredients transcend every unique story: safety, sensitivity, empathy, proactivity, and confidentiality. My aim is to not only help you untangle symptoms but to find meaning in your experience.
Ultimately, the work is about cultivating wholeness —a state in which thoughts, emotions, sensations, and spirit are integrated into a deeper connection with self, others, and life’s purpose.
Psychotherapy is rarely linear. The shortest distance between two points may be a straight line, but growth requires curves, detours, and depth. Together, we look at how you arrived here and what will move you forward.
My approach integrates the best of both worlds: traditional psychodynamic, psychoanalytic, cognitive-behavioral, family systems, attachment, and group theories, combined with empirically validated approaches like EMDR, hypnosis, sex therapy, mindfulness, Buddhist psychology, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFIT, EFCT, EFFT).
With each client, I hold close the wisdom of Hippocrates: “Before you ask someone to heal, ask him if he’s willing to give up the things that make him sick.”
But mostly, I specialize in uncomfortable conversations—the ones to dismantle the old narratives and make space for the new.
“You have always had the power, my dear, you just had to learn it for yourself.”
