A blog post repurposed from my newsletter; introducing my new and improved website!!
Wondering where I’ve been?
Not under a rock exactly — more like behind the scenes, working diligently to upgrade my website.
Don’t worry, not a lot has changed. Just a clean, modern refresh to reflect the same thoughtful work you already know.
A new look, same depth
Like a well-crafted equation, sometimes the most elegant solution is not to start over, but refine what’s already there. After many years, my website has received a facelift — clean, modern, and designed to be easier to read, navigate, and enjoy.
You’ll find the same thoughtful approach to psychotherapy, grounded in depth and experience, with room for a touch of whimsy and, yes, a little nerdiness. You might even notice interspersed references to mathematics sprinkled throughout the site—subtle nods to the balance, symmetry, and patterns that shape both therapy and life.
I’m especially grateful to Sarah, my designer, who listened closely, captured my ideas, and ran with them — much like Carl did when he designed my kitchen a few years ago. It’s rare to find collaborators who “get it” and bring vision to life with grace.
Also, a shout out to my beautification team, Debra Sommerville and Katie Elliott, for their ideas and end product to enhance the site.
There’s now a butterfly in the logo, a reminder of transformation and that, no matter our age or stage or season of life, growth is always possible. And while the design is fresh, my commitment to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate complexity remains as steady as ever.
In the weeks and months ahead, I’ll be blogging more and even dipping a toe into Instagram. I’d love for you to take a look, explore, and stay connected.
And speaking of transformation . . . check out two new virtual group offerings below-a 10-week group for betrayed partners (which is currently in the process of being formulated for an in-person intensive) and an ongoing process group for men who have cheated.
With warmth, wisdom and a dash of curiosity, whimsy, and nerdiness . . .
Barbara
